About Brooke Crabb, of Blomma Bloem Designs
I love to create gorgeous memories using florals. As a child growing up in the natural beauty of New England, I remember my mother picking forsythia on the country roads of Connecticut for her floral arrangements. We had peonies prolifically growing along paths and clematis climbing up posts in the gardens. Memories like these gave me a very early love for flowers and their natural design.
My heritage is Swedish and Dutch so the words Blomma Bloem, both meaning “flower” in those languages, seemed like a fitting name. The beauty of those words as they are spoken and read encapsulate what I am striving for as I design with flowers. The simplicity of each flower is so much more intricate and detailed than just at first glance. Similar to this, each wedding is unique and special from our very first meeting, throughout the planning process, and then finally the wedding day. I take great pride in dreaming about the florals for each wedding. It would be my delight to speak with you about making your day a beautiful memory with breathtaking floral design.
Along with the beauty of weddings and the memories that they hold, I love creating traditions for our family. I have 4 kiddos, a hyper black lab and an incredibly capable, calm, and patient husband who possesses the amazing talent and ability to restore our 110 year old carriage house that has been in my family for decades. It is incredibly special to find myself creating in this beautiful piece of Pasadena history. Working in a historical space such as this continually inspires me to think outside the box and design lovely florals for weddings.
